President William Ruto has met Members of Parliament from Kakamega County at State House Nairobi to discuss strategies for accelerating key development projects in the region.
According to the President, the engagement focused on fast-tracking priority initiatives including the rollout of affordable housing, construction of modern markets, road upgrades, expansion of Kakamega Airport, and the completion of Bukhungu Stadium. The leaders also discussed deepening access to electricity and clean water to spur economic growth and improve livelihoods.
Ruto reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive development, saying the government will work with all leaders regardless of their political affiliation to ensure progress across the country.
“We undertake to work with all leaders, irrespective of their political persuasions, to move our country forward and leave no one behind,” he said.
The meeting forms part of broader consultations between the Presidency and regional leaders aimed at aligning national development priorities with local needs and ensuring timely implementation of flagship projects.
