Ghana is set to officially unveil Carlos Queiroz as the new head coach of the Black Stars on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
The appointment was made by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), replacing Otto Addo as the team prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Queiroz, 73, brings vast international experience, having previously managed national teams such as South Africa, Portugal, and Iran at various World Cup tournaments.
During the unveiling, he is expected to outline his vision for the team and begin preparations immediately ahead of the tournament.
Ghana has been drawn in Group L, where they will face Panama on June 17, England on June 23, and Croatia on June 27.
The GFA hopes Queiroz’s experience will strengthen Ghana’s chances as they prepare to compete on the global stage.
