Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán issued a stark warning about the escalating tensions between NATO, the European Union, and Ukraine.

Speaking at a rally of Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party ahead of the European Parliament elections, Orbán cautioned against the potential deployment of troops by NATO and the EU to Ukraine.

Orbán criticized the European Union’s stance on the conflict, arguing that it fails to recognize the dire consequences of military involvement in Ukraine. He highlighted the growing influence of pro-war sentiments within European politics, warning against the EU’s increasing belligerence.

Despite substantial financial and military support provided by the EU, Orbán noted that the situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate. He expressed concern that the EU may be on the brink of sending troops to Ukrainian soil, a move that could escalate the conflict further.

Orbán emphasized Hungary’s commitment to peace and neutrality, pledging that Budapest would not take sides in the Ukraine crisis. He vowed that Hungary would not become a pawn of larger powers and reiterated his country’s stance against military involvement.

As tensions mount and the specter of conflict looms over Ukraine, Orbán’s words serve as a sobering reminder of the risks associated with military intervention and the importance of pursuing peaceful resolutions to international disputes.
