Uganda’s iconic girl group Blu 3 took center stage on Tusker Malt Conversessions on Sunday, March 2, delivering an emotional and deeply reflective episode.

The trio Lilian Mbabazi, Cindy Sanyu, and Jackie Chandiru opened up about their past struggles, personal regrets, and the journey toward healing, while also exciting fans with news of new music on the way.

Tusker Malt Conversessions has become a stage for raw, unfiltered artistry, and Blu 3’s appearance was no exception. The episode was filled with powerful confessions, as the trio revisited the painful breakup that left fans heartbroken years ago.

Jackie Chandiru revealed that her biggest disappointment was not the words exchanged but rather the lack of a fight to stay together. She confessed that it was never about what was said to each other but rather how the group disintegrated without trying to hold on. Jackie admitted that she had expected so much from Blu 3 and believed they were destined to take over the entire world together.

Cindy Sanyu also reflected on her past emotions, admitting that she once believed rumors that the group and its management were sabotaging her solo career.

She shared that she had a lot of anger and believed the claims, but after a couple of years, she came to the realization that her bandmates were like her sisters. Lilian Mbabazi was quick to reassure Cindy, clarifying that there was never any plot against her.

Despite the wounds of the past, the trio is committed to rekindling their sisterhood. Their recent reunion concerts have helped them rebuild their bond, and fans can now look forward to more music from the group. Lilian confirmed that they have already been in the studio working on new projects. She revealed that while their single “Guma” is already out, they are working towards recording an EP.

The conversation also touched on how each member navigated life after the group’s breakup. Jackie admitted that she was scared and even jealous when Cindy left. She explained that she had become accustomed to having backup on stage and suddenly found herself in a lonely space without people to talk to.

She confessed that on a scale of 1-100, she was 65% angry. Cindy, on the other hand, made it clear that she had no regrets about her journey, stating that everything that happened led them to where they are now and that somehow, it was all worth it. She believed that leaving Blu 3 allowed her to explore a different side of herself that might never have come out otherwise.

Lilian added that looking back on the past does not solve anything, making a lighthearted biblical reference to Lot’s wife, who turned into a pillar of salt for looking back. She emphasized that what matters most is learning from the consequences of their past decisions and how they handled situations. Jackie concluded by saying that what matters now is peace, kindness, and communication.

As Blu 3 forges ahead, fans can expect more music, more performances, and a renewed sense of unity from the legendary girl group. Their journey is one of healing, resilience, and a promising new chapter for Ugandan music lovers.
