Comedy Store CEO Alex Muhangi is vowing to fight to the end in his legal battle against singer Bebe Cool over copyright infringement.

The fallout between the two entertainers began in February when Bebe Cool controversially pulled out of a show where Muhangi had booked him, citing unpaid dues. The singer left the venue in protest, shocking fans and causing a stir in the entertainment industry.

In the days that followed, Bebe Cool took legal action, accusing Muhangi of using his music and content for shows and online platforms without proper authorization. The case has since drawn widespread attention, highlighting issues of copyright enforcement in Uganda’s entertainment industry.

Speaking to the media upon his arrival at City Hall Court on Wednesday, Muhangi remained defiant, insisting that he had done nothing wrong and would not be intimidated. He declared that he was prepared to go all the way in the legal battle, asserting that he, too, had a strong legal team to challenge Bebe Cool’s claims.

The case is expected to set a precedent for content usage and intellectual property rights within Uganda’s creative sector. As the legal proceedings unfold, both artists remain steadfast in their positions, setting the stage for what could be one of the industry’s most closely watched legal battles.
