The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially unveiled its Executive Committee for the 2025–2029 term, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter in the country’s football leadership.
Hon. Moses Magogo Hassim has retained his position as FUFA President, reaffirming the confidence that Uganda’s football stakeholders continue to place in him.
His continued tenure follows years of steady progress in youth development, infrastructure enhancement, and Uganda’s growing presence in continental football. This new term comes at a critical time when FUFA is expected to build on recent achievements and address pressing challenges within the sport.
A significant reshuffle has also brought in three Vice Presidents Mugisha Justus as First Vice President, Dr. Azah Taibu as Second Vice President, and Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi as Third Vice President. Nakiwala, who brings with her experience from both sports governance and government, is expected to help strengthen ties between football administration and national policy.
The rest of the Executive Committee brings together a mix of seasoned administrators, regional representatives, and sports professionals: Rogers Byamukama, Rasoul Ariga, Agnes Mugena, Isa Magoola, Dan Obote, Frank Ankunzire, Dr. Apollo Ahimbisibwe, Rogers Mulindwa, Ronnie Kalema, Deo Mutabazi, and Ronald Barente. This diverse team represents FUFA’s commitment to nationwide inclusivity and balanced leadership across all regions and levels of the sport.
With this newly announced leadership, FUFA is setting its sights on critical reforms strengthening club licensing structures, improving league competitiveness, increasing grassroots football investment, and improving Uganda’s chances in both African and global tournaments.
