His Majesty King Mswati III of Eswatini and Queen Inkhoutaki Make La Mashwama as they commenced a three-day state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and fostering African unity.<\/p>\n

In a joint press briefing held in Kampala, President Yoweri Museveni emphasized the importance of market integration across Africa, drawing parallels with the United States\u2019 unified market.<\/p>\n

“Success in Africa depends on market integration,” President Museveni stated. “We should prioritize local production instead of relying on imports from countries like Japan. By doing so, we can build a stronger, self-sustaining economy that benefits all Africans.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The discussions between the two leaders also addressed the need for a unified African defense strategy, a critical component of the continent\u2019s broader vision for political federation. “Our strength lies in our unity,” President Museveni added. “A unified defense strategy is essential for safeguarding our sovereignty and ensuring peace across the region.”<\/p>\n

One of the key outcomes of the visit was the agreement to accelerate the establishment of a regional hub in Eswatini for Kiira Motors Corporation\u2019s \u201cKayoola EVS\u201d electric buses. This initiative, which will leverage the strategic location of the Maputo harbour, is expected to boost the presence of Ugandan technology in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and contribute to the continent’s sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n

King Mswati III expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the potential for mutual growth. “This partnership marks a significant step towards realizing our shared vision for a prosperous and united Africa,” King Mswati III remarked. “The establishment of the Kiira Motors hub in Eswatini will not only create jobs but also advance our efforts towards environmental sustainability.”<\/p>\n
