The Chinese government has committed to donating 3,000 metric tonnes of rice to aid Uganda in addressing the severe hunger crisis in the Karamoja region, which affects over half a million people.<\/p>\n

The announcement was made by the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Zhang Lizhong, during a meeting with Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah at the Office of the Prime Minister in Kampala.<\/p>\n
