“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Uganda, and on my own behalf, I extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences,” President Museveni wrote. \u201cHis Holiness Pope Francis will be remembered as an extraordinary spiritual leader and a deeply respected theologian.\u201d<\/p>\n
The President commended the late pope\u2019s advocacy for peace, justice, and inclusivity, noting his notable efforts in engaging other religious denominations such as Muslims and Orthodox Christians.<\/p>\n
