Through an open letter addressed to the Muslim community, religious and cultural leaders, the business fraternity, politicians, friends, and family, Dr. Kulthum said the decision followed \u201cdeep reflection, soul-searching and multiple failed attempts\u201d to bridge differences in the marriage.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is one of the hardest letters I\u2019ve ever had to write, but I believe it\u2019s time to speak from the bottom of my heart and put into words what I\u2019ve been carrying inside for a long while,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
Dr. Kulthum, the widow of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte, a renowned Muslim cleric who passed away in 2020, explained that after a long period of mourning, she eventually found the strength to move forward and chose to remarry in hopes of rebuilding her life.
