Makerere University is set to graduate 8,432 students during its 76th graduation ceremony, scheduled to take place from February 24 to 27.
\nThe graduands include 185 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) holders, 2,034 master\u2019s degree recipients, 6,043 bachelor\u2019s degree graduates, 137 postgraduate diploma awardees, and 33 diploma recipients.<\/p>\n

Vice Chancellor Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe attributed the surge in graduate numbers to the university\u2019s research-led education strategy, noting that the current figure represents a 30 percent increase in graduate output compared to previous ceremonies.<\/p>\n
