The High Court of Uganda has brought closure to a prolonged family dispute in which a couple\u2019s bodies remained in a funeral home for over nine months due to disagreements among relatives.<\/p>\n
In her ruling, Justice Celia Nagawa granted their son, Mark Mutaaga Kabenge, full authority to determine how and where his parents would be laid to rest. The court also directed the Attorney General of Uganda and the Uganda Police Force to ensure the immediate release of the bodies within 48 hours.<\/p>\n
Kabenge indicated that he plans to cremate the remains and return them to Switzerland for a final burial, in line with his wishes for his parents.<\/p>\n
Despite the court\u2019s decision, family members have expressed concern for their safety, claiming that those responsible for the deaths of the deceased have not yet been apprehended.<\/p>\n
