The Judiciary of Uganda has announced the reappointment of Stephen Musota as the Chief Inspector of Courts for another three-year term.

According to a statement released on Monday, Flavian Zeija confirmed that the appointment took effect on January 25, 2026.

Justice Musota, who also serves on the Supreme Court of Uganda, will continue to lead the Inspectorate of Courts, a key unit responsible for promoting accountability and professionalism within the judiciary.

In his role as Chief Inspector of Courts, Musota oversees the operations of the Inspectorate and ensures that judicial officers and court staff across the country maintain high standards of integrity, discipline, and performance. The office also handles complaints from the public regarding the conduct of judicial officers and monitors adherence to established judicial procedures.

The Inspectorate plays an important role in strengthening public confidence in the justice system by ensuring transparency and ethical conduct at all levels of courts in Uganda.

Justice Musota’s reappointment signals continued trust in his leadership as the judiciary works to enhance efficiency and accountability within the country’s legal system.
