The National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders’ retreat has entered Day Three at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi, with key discussions centered on strengthening discipline, unity, and leadership among Members of Parliament.

With Vice President Jessica Alupo already in attendance, today’s sessions are focusing on enhancing legislators’ understanding of their roles and responsibilities within Parliament.
A major emphasis is being placed on maintaining cohesion within the parliamentary caucus, including discussions on discipline, the party whipping system, and addressing challenges such as member attrition.

The programme will later shift to personal development, with sessions covering leadership conduct, parliamentary etiquette, decorum, and personal management. Financial literacy is also among the key topics, aimed at equipping legislators with skills to manage resources responsibly.
The ongoing retreat continues to serve as a platform to align NRM legislators with party values and prepare them for effective service in the new parliamentary term.
