The Special Sitting of Parliament to honour the former Dokolo District Woman MP, Hon Cecilia Ogwal is underway with the Speaker Rt Hon Anitah Annet Among chairing.

In her opening remarks, the Speaker described late Ogwal as a strong woman who left a trail wherever she went.

The Prime Minister, and Leader of government business Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah moved a motion to pay tribute to the late Hon. Cecilia Ogwal.

” She has been a fountain of knowledge & wisdom, a mentor of both the young and old in the political arena, a nationalist who loved her country with passion and promoted it both at the local and international fora and a Pan-Africanist who fearlessly defended African identity on a global scale.” The Prime Minister Asserted”
