Uganda’s entertainment industry is in shock following the sudden death of legendary deejay and media personality DJ Bush Baby, whose body was found inside his Entebbe-based studio early Thursday morning.
The media fraternity is reeling from the devastating news of the untimely passing of DJ Bush Baby, born Michael Owori a trailblazing disc jockey credited with revolutionizing urban music in Uganda.

According to initial reports, friends and colleagues became concerned when Bush Baby was unreachable by phone. Their worst fears were confirmed when they discovered his lifeless body in his recording studio in Entebbe. Authorities were promptly notified, and police have since launched an investigation.

“We are treating this as a sudden death pending a postmortem report,” said a senior police officer at the scene. “The studio has been secured, and the body will be taken for further examination to determine the exact cause of death.”
DJ Bush Baby rose to prominence in the late 1990s, becoming a household name through his electrifying sets on Capital FM, where he introduced Ugandan audiences to genres like hip hop, R&B, and urban contemporary music. His influence extended beyond the airwaves he mentored aspiring DJs, produced music for upcoming talent, and organized urban music events that helped define a generation of Ugandan pop culture.
