The Chief of Defence Forces, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has appointed Col. Deo Akiiki as Uganda’s military attaché to Washington, D.C..
Col. Akiiki, who previously served as Deputy Director of Defence Public Information, is expected to represent Uganda’s defence interests abroad and play a key role in strengthening military cooperation with the United States.
The appointment is seen as part of ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral defence relations, enhance security collaboration, and improve diplomatic engagement between the two countries’ armed forces.
