Shock and grief have gripped the political and local community following the death of Kalangala District Woman Member of Parliament, Hellen Nakimuli, who passed away after an unsuccessful surgery.

The legislator, affiliated with the National Unity Platform (NUP), was widely known for her advocacy and service to the people of Kalangala. Her sudden passing has left colleagues, supporters, and constituents in deep mourning.

“This is a terrible and shocking loss,” one party member said. “Hon. Nakimuli was a dedicated leader who stood firmly for her people. Her absence will be deeply felt.”

Leaders and citizens across the country have begun sending messages of condolence, describing her as a committed public servant whose contribution to her district and the nation will not be forgotten.

More details regarding funeral arrangements and official tributes are expected to be communicated by her family and party leadership.

May her soul rest in peace.
