General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defense Forces, emphasized Africa’s newfound ability to assert its concerns on the global stage in a multipolar world.

Speaking at the National Defense College Uganda (NDC-U), General Kainerugaba highlighted the historical imbalance in international discourse, where Africa’s issues have often been sidelined or exploited by Western powers.

“In a multipolar world, no single state can dictate global affairs. This should herald a more equitable world, where Africa has the opportunity to negotiate on international matters,” stated General Kainerugaba during his lecture on “Strategic Security and Interests.”

He underscored the importance of Africa having a voice in international fora, advocating for fair treatment and addressing the continent’s pressing issues. General Kainerugaba stressed that multipolarity offers the potential for a more balanced global landscape, empowering nations like those in Africa to participate meaningfully in shaping global policies.

The Chief of Defense Forces’ remarks reflect a growing sentiment among African leaders for greater representation and recognition on the international stage. His lecture resonates with the aspirations of many in Africa for a fairer and more inclusive global order.
