SCP Fred Enanga, renowned for his steadfast role as Uganda Police Force spokesperson and recently elevated to a prominent position at Interpol and handed over his office to ACP Kituuma Rusoke.

Enanga, who has been a vocal defender of police actions amidst public scrutiny, bid farewell to journalists at Naguru Police Headquarters, reflecting on the challenges and rewards of his tenure.

Enanga’s departure comes amidst a series of strategic changes within the police force. His successor, ACP Kituuma Rusoke, previously Regional Police Commander of Lwizi Police Region, steps into the role with a wealth of operational experience.

In a poignant farewell address, Enanga acknowledged the complexities of serving as a police spokesperson, highlighting the scrutiny and criticism faced daily.

Despite these challenges, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent the force and defend its actions during turbulent times.

Enanga’s transition coincides with broader shifts in police leadership, including the appointment of a new spokesperson, Kayima, tasked with continuing the vital role of public communication and engagement.

As Uganda Police Force adapts to new leadership dynamics, stakeholders anticipate how these changes will shape public perception and operational strategies moving forward.

Enanga’s legacy as a staunch advocate for police professionalism and transparency remains integral as the force navigates evolving challenges in law enforcement and public relations.
