The National Resistance Movement Electoral Commission has announced a roadmap for party primaries to select a flag bearer for the Kikuube District LC5 chairperson seat following the death of Peter Banura.

Addressing a press conference at the commission offices on Kyadondo Road, Commissioner Jane Alisemera Babiha said the process has already begun with the expression of interest phase running from April 29 to May 6, 2026.

She added that nomination of eligible candidates is scheduled to take place between May 7 and May 8, 2026.

The roadmap marks the start of internal party processes as the NRM prepares to field a candidate in the upcoming by-election in Kikuube District.
