The Minister for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Hon. Judith Nabakooba Nalule, has expressed gratitude towards President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his initiative in decentralizing skilling hubs to rural regions, bringing invaluable opportunities to local communities.

Speaking during a visit to the skilling hubs in Greater Mubende, Hon. Nabakooba lauded the President’s vision, stating, “This is a great opportunity for our children and the country at large. I have seen machines and products which I used to only see in Kampala. I thank H.E the President for establishing this in Greater Mubende. ” said Nabakooba

” We used to hear about this skilling program only in Kampala but the President in his wisdom decided to bring the smiles closer by establishing zonal regional hubs to accommodate more children in our communities. His vision is to see a skilled nation where everyone is in the money economy.” She added

The move to extend skilling hubs beyond urban centers signifies a concerted effort to empower youth across the nation with practical skills necessary for meaningful participation in the economy.

This initiative aligns with President Museveni’s overarching goal of fostering a skilled workforce and driving economic growth at the grassroots level.

Hon. Nabakooba’s remarks underscore the government’s commitment to bridging the gap between rural and urban development by providing equitable access to essential resources and opportunities.
