The High Court of Uganda has directed former minister Amelia Anna Kyambadde to appear in court on April 13, 2026, at 8:00am over allegations that she evaded service of court documents challenging her election victory.

The order follows an application filed by Hillary Kiyaga, who is contesting the Mawokota North parliamentary results. Through his lawyers, Kiyaga claims that despite filing an election petition, Kyambadde deliberately went into hiding to avoid being served with the necessary legal documents.

The court’s directive now compels Kyambadde to personally appear and respond to the claims, as the legal battle over the Mawokota North seat continues to unfold.
