Yusuf Nsibambi, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Member of Parliament for Mawokota South, has officially crossed to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Nsibambi’s defection follows an engagement with the NRM Second National Vice Chairperson (Female) and Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, who formally received him and ushered him to the party’s headquarters.

The move marks a significant political shift in Mawokota South and adds to a growing list of opposition figures aligning themselves with the ruling party. While details surrounding the reasons for his defection have not been publicly outlined, the development is expected to reshape political dynamics in the constituency and within Parliament.

NRM officials welcomed Nsibambi’s decision, describing it as a step toward strengthening unity within the party ranks.
